Introduction

Multi Green (Pty) Ltd is a fertilizer mixing plant based in Villiers in the Eastern Free State, proudly partnered with VKB Landbou (Pty) Ltd since 2019. Since 2005, Multi Green has specialized in the precision mixing and distribution of both liquid and granular fertilizers, earning the trust of the farming community and fertilizer sector across South Africa.


We are seeking a

About the Role

The Managing Director will lead Multi Green with integrity, curiosity, and strategic insight. This role demands a leader who can

Strategic Growth and Financial Leadership

Drive profitable growth and sustainable market expansion. Clearly communicate and align financial objectives with long-term vision. Identify and seize opportunities with courage, discipline, and accountability.

Vision and Strategic Direction

Set clear, inspiring short- and long-term goals that reflect Multi Green's values. Shape and execute effective marketing and business strategies. Ensure optimal asset management and operational efficiency. Continuously assess risks and implement smart, practical solutions.

People and Partnerships

Build authentic relationships with stakeholders -- from the Board and shareholders to employees, suppliers, and clients. Create an environment where people are empowered, respected, and encouraged to grow. Strengthen collaboration within the VKB Group and foster a sense of shared purpose across all teams. Represent Multi Green confidently and professionally in the broader agricultural community.

Operational Excellence

Lead with hands-on involvement and a deep understanding of the plant's daily operations. Promote teamwork across departments to ensure smooth, efficient production. Encourage innovation in pricing, production, logistics, and sustainability. Monitor performance, anticipate challenges, and respond with agility and foresight.

Requirements and Skills

Relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualification(s). Minimum 10 years' Executive Management experience in the fertilizer or agricultural sector. Proven track record of aligning strategic, operational, and financial objectives. Strong commercial and financial acumen with strategic foresight. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ethical, consistent, and principled -- a role model for integrity and accountability. Ability to build trust, manage conflict constructively, and develop people. Deep insight into the South African agricultural landscape.
