We are looking for a dedicated and skilled

Chef

to join our catering and company dietary services team. The ideal candidate will prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals for patients, staff, and visitors while following strict hygiene and dietary guidelines. Experience in healthcare or institutional cooking is a strong advantage.

Location: Republic of Nauru

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare and cook meals according to patient dietary needs, doctor's orders, and menu plans

Follow hospital and food safety protocols

Collaborate with dietitians and kitchen staff to ensure nutritional quality and taste

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and equipment

Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies

Adapt meals for patients with allergies, medical conditions, or religious restrictions

Serve meals promptly and courteously

Requirements:



Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a hospital, nursing home, or institutional kitchen

Knowledge of therapeutic and special diets (diabetic, low sodium, renal, etc.)

Ability to follow standardized recipes and meal plans

High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification is a plus

Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards

Good communication and time management skills

Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications:



Certification in Food Handling or Safety

Basic understanding of nutrition or experience working with dietitians
