The Role
Are you a cheerful and energetic junior with a love of boats?
Can you swim?!!
Can you also run an office with good admin skills?
Do you have any mechanical skills - any knowledge of engines, plumbing, etc.?
If you have a driver's licence as well, this position just may be for you!
Skills and Experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be a right-hand person to the Ops Manager of a large tourism company. Excellent communication in both English and Afrikaans language. Good Admin - with ability to write reports, do check lists, and surveys on vessels. Be in charge of all filing and keeping the office tidy. Computer Literacy in MS Word and Excel, emails, etc. Good organisational abilities with the ability to jump in and assist when necessary.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
The following are essential:
Minimum Matriculation certification. Code 8 Driver's licence essential. Abundance of energy and enthusiasm with the ability to take charge of situations. Technical or mechanical skills will be an advantage - any knowledge of electrics, plumbing, petrol & diesel engines, etc. Any knowledge of commercial boating would be an advantage. A Health & Safety certification also a plus. The position will involve a 6 day/week basis. As the client is in the tourism business an ability to work sometimes long hours is a must.
