Requirements



Relevant B Degree, preferably in Property Management,

Public Administration, Built Environment, Law or equivalent



Minimum of 8 Years relevant experience in

tenancy/property management with extensive people



management experience



Computer Literacy Professional Drivers Permit: Code B

Key Performance Areas



Managing the Housing Estate offices within the branch

To ensure the provision of effective and efficient tenancy



management and customer service



Direct, develop, and monitor the administrative

implementation of policies and programmes related to the



City's rental assets (CRUs and Hostels) e.g. Housing



Allocations policy, Credit Control & Debt Collection policy.



Direct, manage and control the implementation of the

City's alternative tenure programmes.



Giving strategic input into maintenance and upgrading

programmes.



Managing Integrated Management Systems necessary for

tenancy management of the department's rental portfolio.



Directs and controls outcomes associated with utilization,

productivity and performance of personnel.



Develop, oversee the implementation of an effective

tenancy communication and educational programmes.



Managing and directing an integrated, transformed and

diverse Public Housing service.



Direct and manage the implementation of financial

controls/procedures and provide information to support



financial planning sequences e.g. Expenditure



Management, Revenue Management, Asset



Management.



Provide strategic guidance for the redevelopment of

public housing units in terms of the Community Residential



Units (CRU) program.



Effective records management in respect of the rental

portfolio documentation and information.
