Komatsu South Africa seeks a skilled Supply Chain Manager for the Remanufacturing department in Germiston. The role focuses on optimising the supply chain for remanufactured components, ensuring sustainability, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
A minimum of 8 years' experience in supply chain management in a large-scale manufacturing/engineering/earthmoving/automotive supply chain environment.
At least 4 years in a leadership role
Technical engineering background (advantageous)

Role Summary
Key Responsibilities
Component Supply & Inner Parts Planning:
Oversee planning and procurement of remanufactured components and inner parts, coordinating with branches and end users for both new and remanufactured components.
Core Returns & Reverse Logistics:
Manage core return processes, including collection, assessment, and reverse logistics for used components to be remanufactured.
Inventory Management & Optimisation:
Implement inventory optimisation and reduction strategies for remanufacturing parts and remanufactured components focusing on efficiency, sustainability and cost efficiency/ reduction.
Component Pricing & Warehouse Management:
Develop and monitor component pricing models for remanufactured products. Lead warehouse management, ensuring efficient storage and handling of parts and remanufactured components.
Sustainability Initiatives:
Manage internal sustainability targets, including ESG compliance and waste elimination in remanufacturing supply chain operations.
Additional Duties
Develop Reman Supply chain, inventory and warehousing policy & procedures, and associate KPIs in conjunction with leadership.
Perform data analytics to uncover trends, gather continuous improvement feedback at all levels, facilitate problem resolution
Conduct inventory and cost analyses and develop dashboards for KPI measurement in conjunction with Business Improvement Manager.
Monitor and maintain master data integrity, stock count accuracy, and compliance with supplier agreements.
Lead warehousing operations, ensuring adherence to SHEQ and financial control processes.
Propose and implement plans and budgets for the supply chain function and projects.
Report on logistics and warehousing operations, conduct supplier performance analyses and take corrective action where necessary in terms of logistics and on-time performance.
