Job Purpose




To manage security operations and Investigations within the South African Airways Technical. Manage development and control of security systems within SAAT. Manage compliance of SAAT with all Legislations prescripts applicable to security matters of SAAT

###

Principal Accountabilities



To manage security Operations in SAAT





Manage internal and external stakeholders on Security Operations matters.

Manage acquisition and utilisation of information relating to SAAT security operations and external.



To manage internal investigations within SAAT.



Manage the recording of all reports relating to potential criminality and or malfeasance.

Oversee investigations of all reported criminality and malfeasance.

Manage internal and external stakeholders on investigation matters.

Manage analysis of potential internal activities that could led to revenue loss by SAAT.

Manage integrity management processes within SAAT.


To manage relations with law enforcement stakeholders



Manage the identification of relevant stakeholders

Approach and ensure development and maintenance of relations with identified stakeholders.

Manage stakeholder requests that relate to SAAT

Create and manage platform for internal stakeholder's engagements.


To manage integrity Management processes within SAAT.



Manage the development of integrity Management systems

Oversee integrity management processes

Oversee handling of the integrity management outcome.

Handle the processes relation to areas where malfeasance is identified through integrity management.


Manage physical resources allocated to the area.



Down-Manage the security service provider expense.

Ensure effective use of the department fleet

Ensure effective expectative on travel expense

Qualifications & Experience




Relevant Degree, N6, or equivalent plus 10 years' experience as defined below

OR

15 years' experience as defined below

Relevant Diploma/ Certificate plus 12 years' experience as defined below

OR

15 years' experience as defined below

Investigation experience in a public or private industry as per years' required in point 1 above

OR

12 years' Law enforcement experience in law enforcement field

OR

15 years' Operations experience in law enforcement field plus matric

A qualification in forensic investigation

A qualification in money laundering, detection and Investigation

Background in legal studies would be advantageous

Mandatory global aviation experience in at least one international long haul full-service airline Contract management

experience in a senior security-related leadership role

direct experience in an aviation security environment in a leadership role

corporate security or related public sector institution

Risk Management experience will be an advantage

Forensic investigations knowledge and experience preferred

Cross sector industry exposure to best practices

Experience of working with a wide array of aviation and physical security technologies

A successful record of working with the following functions within the airline industry: Chief Executive Officers, executive leadership teams, boards, shareholders and external stakeholders such as regulators, commercial partners and vendors

Experience in managing multiple vendors and budgets

Knowledge of SAAT Organisation, policies and procedures

Quality management system

Regulations of specific countries in which SAA and its subsidiaries operate

Relevant legislation (eg, National Key Points Act and National Intelligence Act)

Knowledge of Forensic investigations

Security legislative Prescripts

Evidence collection & packaging

Strategic thinking, planning and execution skills with abilities to develop, adjust and manage SAAT's Security Management System (SEMS)
