Job Description



Job Purpose





To plan, manage and monitor the implementation of all activities and processes in the parts warehouse. To continuously enhance service delivery that will maximise profit through the management of stock.

Process




Conduct daily perpetual stock takes, identify and investigate discrepancies and update system as required. Contribute to the development of the appropriate strategy and set targets within area of accountability. Define standard operating procedures (SOPs). Develop, implement and control mechanisms to safeguard assets and warehouse stock in line with organisational and M/Importer policies and procedures. Implement and manage end-to-end processes. Manage operational risk and risk mitigation initiatives. Manage and monitor warehouse stock levels and stock accessibility in order to ensure stock availability for sales. Manage returns for credit on a daily basis Manage returns for credit. Manage supplier relationships to measure performance, quality assurance and agreed delivery timeframes to ensure availability of warehouse stock. Monitor and report on progress against operational plans and adjust where required. Plan, manage and monitor governance compliance processes in area of accountability in order to manage risks and expose liabilities. Resolve problems by applying the necessary discretion and guidelines.

Finance




Manage financial activities in line with approved policies and procedures Manage, monitor and report on budget variances and provide solutions.

Client




Ensure the timely availability of parts, products and accessories, to enhance satisfaction and retention of customers. Deliver services and/or products that create a culture which aims to meet or exceed customers' expectations in the business. Build sustainable relationships with customers that contribute to a culture of customer service excellence. Plan, manage and monitor processes to ensure customer service excellence.

People




Create an engaging, enabling and productive work climate aligned to the employee value proposition. Ensure staff have adequate technical knowledge and skills Implement and manage workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, reward and recognition and employee relations to ensure an optimal working environment. Qualifications and Experience



Minimum Qualification




NQF 7 or higher in supply chain management/Procurement/warehouse management will be advantageous

Minimum Experience




3 - 5 years' experience in a similar environment, of which at least 1 - 3 years' supervisory / team lead experience

Skills and Personal Attributes



Minimum Requirements




* A broad understanding of the motor and/or the logistics and /or transport industry and legislation relating thereto
