Job Description

Overview




To plan and organise resources in line with all the statutory, legal and BME SHERQ requirements. To ensure MMU's are build according to the BME build program. To supervise the performance of employees, manage stocks, manage costs, and manage quality of products and of service delivery. Support Global business with MMU support including commissioning and ongoing support and upgrades

Qualifications



Degree Mechanical Engineering/Qualified Artisan or equivalent Project management (Advantage)

Experience



5 years' demonstrated experience in the manufacturing and support of large scale mobile mining equipment 5 years' demonstrated experience in people management

Duties



Liaising with relevant stakeholders




Works closely with internal and external customers in order to assess needs and plan operations accordingly Organizes, schedules and coordinates manufacturing of MMU's in order to facilitate the smooth, timeous flow of deliveries Local and international support, commissioning, fault finding and upgrades

Planning and organizing of resources




Ensuring the availability of resources, in order to meet customer's requests

Security of company assets of Responsible for the operation rollers, bending press and Guillotine




Ensures that the assets of the company are protected from theft and damage

Administration




Administers stocks and continuous stock availability by ensuring that paperwork such as store stock are up to date and reconciled Ensures that all administration, documents, storage of information are kept according to BME standards

Budgeting




Provides inputs into the annual budgeting process in line with the objectives of the department Identifies cost saving initiatives while balancing customer requirements

Compliance




Performs investigations and conducts checks in the Boiler shop to ensure that risks are identified, and necessary risk management is conducted to eliminate or minimize threats to SHERQ Ensures that the staff working at the sites meets all the statutory, legal and BME SHERQ requirements
