Responsible for input into the development and implementation of the data governance and business intelligence strategy as well as remediation strategies. Responsible for monitoring and oversight of all operational efforts to remediate data across business units. Ensures consistency of use of the NFR data and insights business units. Drive compliance to the Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting framework and support. the implementation across the segments for Non-Financial Risk Management.

  • Initiate and participate in the attainment of Non-Financial Risk's (NFR) strategic objectives
  • Execute on and contribute towards the Data and Information Governance in Non-Financial Risk
  • Manage and execute on Risk Insights requirements in enabling NFR to achieve strategic objectives
  • Effective interaction with stakeholders with minimum supervision and manage stakeholders across all the risk types in Non-Financial Risk
  • Provide support and guidance to interns and graduate trainees seconded to the area
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • First Degree in Mathematics or Computer Science or Science or Business degree with Information Systems and Analysis of data or similar
Experience Required:
  • 3-4 years' Experience in critical operational risk data analysis and working independently within minimum supervision. Quantitative modelling experience will be an advantage.
  • 3-4 years proven ability to exploit, explore and leverage on technology to advance business intelligence within the Standard Bank Group
