As a Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies that drive an enhanced client experience and contribute to the growth of client insights in the Western Cape. You will work closely with the Coverage Marketing team, providing strategic, operational, and on-the-ground support to drive marketing activities and projects. This role is operationally critical and requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in marketing and communications.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum qualification in Marketing or Communications or equivalent experience.
Experience Required:
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing and communications.
  • Proficiency in project / event management and stakeholder management.
  • Familiarity with campaign management and risk management.
  • Compliance and regulatory understanding.
Additional Information

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies and plans for Coverage Marketing in the Western Cape region.
  • Translate business unit strategies into detailed marketing strategies and plans.
  • Review and refine marketing strategies and plans on a regular basis.
  • Ensure alignment of marketing strategies with the Standard Bank brand strategy and guidelines.
  • Identify the need for the development or review of marketing policies.
  • Provide end-to-end marketing support within the Coverage Marketing team.
  • Coordinate and manage key client events and engagement plans.
  • Lead the coordination of corporate conferences for Coverage Marketing.
  • Manage marketing and communication initiatives for the Coverage Marketing and Sectors portfolio.
  • Measure and analyse the results of marketing campaigns, setting targets and identifying measurement tools.
  • Develop, manage, and publish marketing and communication materials in line with strategies.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, including advertising and media partners.
  • Drive integration of marketing messaging across all disciplines.
  • Commission marketing research and competitive intelligence.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and banking regulations.
  • Manage stakeholder relations effectively.
