Minimum Requirements

National Senior Certificate is essential.

A relevant IT qualification (Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field) will serve as preference.

At least 5 years' experience as an IT Manager, IT Specialist, or similar role.

Strong knowledge of networking, servers, databases and IT security.

Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and other business applications.

Must be able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced production setting.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Good judgement, confidentiality and accuracy.

Good communication skills and ability to provide user support.

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, scanners, point of sale and weighing/label printing systems used in the company.

Provide technical support to users on hardware, software and network issues.

Install, configure and maintain computer systems, servers and networks.

Conduct fault finding on networks.

Maintaining the server infrastructure.

Manage system security, data backups and disaster recovery plans.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum up-time.

Implement software updates, patches and upgrades to support operational efficiency.

Assist with IT projects, system improvements and digital transformation initiatives.

Ensure compliance with IT policies, data protection regulations and cybersecurity standards.

Managing the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, data security, and the smooth operation of production-related technology that supports efficiency and traceability across the plant.

Refine, develop, and execute IT, AI, cybersecurity and data strategies in alignment with the company's business goals.

Advise EXCO on emerging technology trends, innovation opportunities, and risk mitigation strategies.

Implement and enforce secure user access controls and security policies.

Develop and maintain data-models, data integration frameworks and storage solutions to facilitate seamless dataflow and accessibility.

Oversee all IT Operations and IT Service Providers.

Provide training and guidance to staff on the correct use of IT systems.

Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and service contracts.

Provide feedback to management regarding IT related matters.
