Job Description
Team Management
- To lead, develop, motivate, and manage the performance of the team and ensure an optimally skilled, motivated and high-performance team
- Review of accounting and recon packs
- Responsible for checking statements of all debits and credits in a double-entry account book, with any disagreement indicating an error
- Review statement of the assets, liabilities, and capital of the business at a particular point in time, detailing the balance of income and expenditure over the preceding period.
- Review summarized accounting data (balance sheet, cash flow, and income statement) prepared and presented specifically for management.
- Responsible for the authorization of payments
- Responsible for auditing and inspecting the organization's accounts
- Approve or reject budgets
- Forecasting and evaluation of financial risks together with the identification of procedures to avoid or minimize their impact
To uphold and promote the company values and culture
- Grade 12
- Minimum B.Comm Accounting degree of higher financial qualification
- Experienced in full accounting function
- Experienced in financial management
- 4-5 years experience in a middle management position, managing team of finance employees
