Manager Communications and Marketing (Grade 16)

Main Objectives
To support the overall divisional strategy by executing and monitoring the communications and marketing strategy. To support the Director by giving input into the conceptualization of the divisional strategy and providing specialist input with regards to communications and marketing. To lead and manage the communications and marketing section and to enhance strategic information flow, institutional brand equity, strengthen and elevate Rhodes Universityxe2x80x99s prestige.

The requirements
A three-year tertiary qualification (NQF level 7) in Journalism and Media Studies, Marketing, Communication, or equivalent plus approximately 7 yearsxe2x80x99 relevant experience where such experience includes: -

  • At least 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in previous experience in the development, implementation, and management of marketing strategies
  • Previous experience in branding management and promotion with measurable results
  • Proficient in the use of current marketing applications, systems, and tools
  • At least 3 yearsxe2x80x99 management experience
  • Previous experience working with senior management in an organisation, where strategic input has been required

Remuneration per annum (Grade 16):
Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R704 274
Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R920 080
