Purpose of Job

To manage the efforts of expanding the franchise business through expanding networks, handling contracts, and managing retail categories. To identify and organise training sessions and ensure that adequate support is provided to franchisees and that franchises meet standards, specifications, and other requirements. To develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to maximise Sasol Group product and services appeal, increase product and franchising sales, and enhance the profitability of the business to drive sustainable growth.

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

Create new thinking and technical expertise and give input into the business functional strategy.
Develop and implement short / medium term sales plans consistent with marketing strategies and objectives. Drive the implementation of realistic plans that are drawn up and signed off.
Anticipate and avoid threats pertaining to specific external environmental factors.
Produce consistent service delivery, productivity, and efficient results.
Manage cash fixed costs within the approved target for self and team.
Drive continuous improvement and find new ways of doing existing work. Apply new ideas and work methods and opportunities for improving business results through team engagement.
Scan internal and external opportunities by creating an environment for questioning, risk taking, and improvement.
Improve systems and work processes to direct productivity and reduce cost.
Administer, implement, and optimise processes of the sales business and business support systems.
Consistently support the implementation of business optimisation initiatives.
Ascertain that team members understand, support, and execute values, vision, and strategy of the business and have a clear knowledge about current and measurable goals.
Administer the performance and output of the sales section and sales personnel.
Create an enabling environment to support company values and facilitate business change and learning. Verify that vision, values, and business direction are embraced by the team.
Communicate and execute change and improvement effectively.
Interrogate internal service providers and sub-functional support in line the agreed service level performance standards.
Proactively enhance the retail business credibility within the group and with key external stakeholders.
Assist with or conduct key operational challenges and service negotiations with customers.
Enable business efficiency and effectiveness by marketing and understanding products and services.
Manage contracts and franchise agreements effectively.
Apply evidence-based SHE practices in alignment with set standards for safe operations.
Implement Sasol Group's risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework.
Build and maintain positive relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to foster superior customer service.
Continuously improve own skills and knowledge. Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals.
Manage team performance and development formally and informally based on standard practices in use across Sasol Group.
Identify and activate learning as required based on individual and collective needs. Liaise with HR and/or specialised vendor for bespoke deployment.
Nurture a team spirit and openness towards feedback, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation.
