Job Summary The Business Enablement Manager supports the execution of Absa Legal's Digital Transformation programme.
The role provides specialist business enablement support across business analysis, reporting automation, data governance, knowledge management, legal database optimisation and process improvement initiatives for in-house Legal Counsel.
The incumbent will coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams, support junior resources where required, and act as a key interface between Legal, Technology, Data and Procurement teams to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and in line with governance frameworks.
Business Enablement & Advisory Support
Provide specialist support to Legal leadership and programme teams in delivering digital, knowledge and database initiatives.
Translate strategic priorities into detailed business requirements, delivery plans and execution roadmaps.
Develop business cases, investment motivations and benefits tracking.
Prepare decision-making packs, dashboards and MI for senior forums.
Analyse performance data to inform prioritisation and sequencing.
Delivery Coordination & Execution
Support day-to-day execution of the Legal Digital Programme.
Lead and coordinate knowledge management principles and initiatives.
Track milestones, risks, dependencies and benefits across workstreams.
Ensure delivery artefacts (BRDs, process maps, operating models, KM frameworks user stories) are produced and approved.
Coordinate with Technology teams across SDLC / Agile delivery cycles.
Proactively flag delivery risks and recommend mitigation actions.
Knowledge Management Enablement & Reporting
Drive the implementation of Legal Knowledge Management practices, standards and operating models.
Support taxonomy design, content classification and information governance frameworks.
Enable adoption of document management platforms, search tools and AI-enabled knowledge solutions.
Manage Legal database portfolios, including subscription optimisation, product rationalisation and usage analysis.
Lead engagement with Legal research providers and database suppliers on product roadmaps, licensing models and renewals.
Partner with Procurement on sourcing, contracting and commercial negotiations.
Develop and maintain KM and Legal database performance dashboards and adoption reporting.
Track content quality, utilisation, compliance and maturity indicators.
Support knowledge-sharing communities and best-practice forums.
Stakeholder Engagement
Engage Legal, Technology, Data and Operations stakeholders to drive alignment.
Support preparation for SteerCos, working groups and governance forums.
Manage stakeholder expectations on specific initiatives or workstreams.
Coordinate communications and change activities with impacted business units.
People & Workstream Management
Provide guidance to junior analysts or project resources assigned to workstreams.
Support capability building within the team.
Contribute to a high-performance and collaborative team culture.
Digital, Data & AI Enablement Support
Support the identification, assessment and delivery of Legal AI use cases.
Assist in driving reporting automation and analytics adoption.
Support data governance initiatives including taxonomy optimisation and data quality remediation.
Identify opportunities for workflow automation and process improvement.
Assist with embedding responsible AI and compliance controls.
Governance & Controls
Ensure deliverables comply with bank governance, risk and procurement frameworks.
Maintain RAID logs and delivery trackers.
Support audit engagements and regulatory readiness.
Assist with vendor coordination and commercial processes.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
4-7 years' experience in business analysis, digital delivery, consulting or transformation roles within financial services.
Strong analytical and execution capability.
Experience working in Agile / SDLC environments.
Stakeholder engagement experience.
Exposure to data, automation or digital platforms.
Advantageous:
Postgraduate business qualification.
Change management certification exposure.
AI, analytics or process improvement experience.
Legal, Risk or Compliance domain exposure.
