A national leader in integrated logistics and fleet solutions is seeking a driven Management Accountant to join their fast-paced finance team. Operating across warehousing, linehaul, distribution, and supply chain services, this business moves with precision and needs a finance professional who can do the same. The role offers hands-on exposure to operational finance, decision support, and margin management, with the opportunity to influence outcomes across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, variance reports, and financial performance summaries
• Perform detailed margin, cost, and profitability analysis across business segments
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes
• Monitor and report on operational KPIs, overheads, and fleet cost allocations
• Business partner with operations, depot managers, and senior stakeholders
• Analyse trends and provide commercial insights to improve decision-making
• Ensure accuracy of cost allocations, accruals, and month-end journals
• Assist with CAPEX tracking, project costing, and internal control compliance
• Participate in internal audits and assist with external audit readiness

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a management accounting role, ideally within logistics, transport, supply chain, or warehousing
• Strong understanding of operational finance, cost control, and financial planning
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel required
• BCom in Accounting/Management Accounting essential; CIMA qualification or progress toward it highly advantageous
• Excellent analytical skills, strong business acumen, and ability to communicate with both finance and non-finance teams
• High attention to detail, deadline-driven, and hands-on approach to problem-solving
