Very exciting role exists for a Management Accountant with experience in the Hotel industry.
The position is locally based in Cape Town CBD (office based) responsible for overseeing financial management activities for a German based hotel group. The group currently operates 16 franchise hotels in major German cities and Vienna. The existing franchise portfolio currently comprises 3,701 rooms in German and Austrian A-destinations.
Play a key role in ensuring financial integrity and compliance across the Group. Reporting to the CFO and Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for producing accurate, timely management information and supporting key financial processes. Your contributions will span budgeting, expenditure reporting, performance monitoring, and the preparation of essential financial deliverables.

• Group Consolidation & Reporting
• Corporate Governance; Risk Management and Company Secretarial

Requirements:

• Education:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (essential). Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or progress toward qualification is highly desirable. * Experience:

• At least 4-6 years of experience in management accounting or finance in a commercial environment, with at least 2 years within a Hotel Group or multi-entity environment.
• Significant exposure to general accounting and financial reporting
• Hands-on experience with group consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and multi-entity reporting processes.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, financial modelling, macros).
• Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant financial regulations, particularly as they apply to group consolidation and multi-entity environments
• Ability to converse in German would be a huge advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
