Job Description
Job Summary An opportunity for an experienced MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS (FMCG MANUFACTURING EXP. APPLICATIONS ONLY) is required for permanent employment based in Ladysmith. Filling machine equipment experience (req). Installing equipment and maintaining equipment. Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools. Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions. Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts Operating machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machineries. Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications, and installations. Sharpening and maintaining machine tools Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines Trade certificate (Electrician / Millwright / Fitter and Turner) A min of 3 to 5 years' exp. (dependent on level of responsibility) as a Millwright, Fitter and Turner or electrician. FMCG Manufacturing & Supply Chain production / factory / plant experience essential) In-depth knowledge of construction equipment and machinery. Completion of an accredited certificate program.
