ABOUT THE ROLE




As a Maintenance Technician at Nurture Health, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, safety, and upkeep of all physical infrastructure and equipment at our rehabilitation facility. You will play a vital role in supporting a healing environment for patients and a safe workplace for staff through timely maintenance, repairs, and preventative care.


This role requires a proactive, reliable, and solutions-oriented individual who can work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Perform general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry tasks. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of facility systems and equipment. Respond promptly to repair requests and maintenance issues reported by staff. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including infection prevention protocols. Assist in the upkeep of outdoor areas, including parking, walkways, and landscaping as needed. Liaise with external service providers for specialized repairs or installations. Maintain accurate maintenance records and assist with asset management. Support fire safety, generator, and backup systems functionality. Ensure that all maintenance work minimizes disruption to patients and clinical operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE



Minimum of Grade 12 (Matric). Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting. Knowledge of health and safety regulations, OHS Act, and facility compliance standards. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight timelines. Basic computer literacy (for logging work and managing records).

Minimum salary: R16 365,48 cost to Company (including benefits)
