Our client is a well-established, global leader in the manufacturing of concrete roofing systems and products. They are searching for a professional and technically sound individual to join their team based in Gauteng / West Rand (with national travel when required) in the role of Maintenance Technician - to ensure overall plant reliability whilst ensuring that maintenance standards & philosophies are met.
Requirements:

• Qualified Artisan / Technician / Engineering background
• Minimum of 10 years working experience in mass production environment
• Tile making experience will be advantages
• Excellent verbal and written English and Afrikaans communication skills
• Computer Literate (MS Office package)
• Interface professionally with all levels of employees
• Exemplary and imitable behaviour, good motivational skills and objectives driven
• Sound physical health essential Traveling to other plants when required by nature of job

Main Activities:

• Ensure all personnel abide by OHS and company safety regulations. HR and Operational polices as amended from time to time
• Oversee and train maintenance workforce to achieve overall plant efficiency of the work
• Ensure that maintenance of plant adhere to and team is competent to improve plant reliability as per work maintenance objectives
• To ensure quality of service and spares used of excellent acceptable standards, thereby achieving the most economical value throughout the production process
• Take responsibility and do proper root cause analysis for preventative maintenance
• Ensure BU has competent maintenance team including competent bed setters to ensure minimal down time and improve plant capabilities
• Train, equip, support and focus the talents of subordinates to achieve common objectives by setting standards and measuring performance
• To report any work maintenance staff, need to carry out on the plant
• Foster good industrial relations with employees
• You may be required to work extended hours when asked, including Traveling to other plants for emergency work
• Assisting with Project work as planned by Technical team with National Operations manager
