Maintenance Supervisor (facilities)

Job Description
Job Summary Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, coordinate, and support a multi-disciplinary maintenance team (electricians, plumbers, painters, and handymen).
- Oversee both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across all sites.
- Communicate progress and updates to management, residents, contractors, and service providers.
- Monitor and inspect work delivered by the team and external service providers.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
- Manage scheduling, standby duties, and daily team meetings.
- Contribute to maintenance planning, budgeting, and stock control.
- Trade qualification (NQF6) or equivalent (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, building).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and safe working practices.
- Effective communication skills in both Afrikaans and English (spoken and written).
- Computer literacy (MS Office; ability to learn internal maintenance systems).
- Physically fit and able to move easily across multiple sites.
- Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
