Job Summary

Maintenance Storeman

Operations

Accountable for operation of own work area or as a member of a team, as well as for quality, standards and outputs within defined work routines and policies.

Job Purpose

To receive, store, issue and record the traceability of all Engineering related material, fluids, equipment, spares, tools, PPE, consumables, and client provided materials on the site. To handle and store all materials and equipment in compliance with the requirements set out in datasheets, specifications or dictated by legislation e.g. Health & Safety

Key Accountabilities and Outputs

Goods Inward

  • Receipt of deliveries to site, including notification of deliveries to other function xe2x80xa2 Liaison with Engineering/QC and Safety function for goods receipt inspections
  • Day to day organisation of a goods received quarantine area
Stock Control
  • Monitor stock against agreed inventory levels and re-order as required
  • Participate in stock counts and reconciliation against ERP inventory
  • Ensure stock items have appropriate codes
  • Ensure full traceability of all stored materials/items
Materials Issue
  • Issue materials for production per daily work list (pick-list)
  • Use stores requisition system and keep records
  • Use tooling control system
  • Use fluids control system (test fluids, diesel, oils etc) xe2x80xa2 Drive Fork Lift Trucks xe2x80xa2 Deliver materials/equipment/items to shopfloor/work areas as required Reporting xe2x80xa2 Produce various reports (as requested) xe2x80xa2 Report damage to incoming materials or equipment xe2x80xa2 Report FLT damage or property damage caused by FLT/s Adherence to the health, safety, food and environmental standards xe2x80xa2 Staff shall adhere to all Food Safety Policies and PRPxe2x80x99s and shall adhere to and enforce all food safety requirements at all times xe2x80xa2 Staff shall adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental Policies and PRPxe2x80x99s and shall adhere to and enforce all Health and Safety requirements at all times
Visitor and Contractor Policy xe2x80x93 staff shall ensure that visitors or contractors entering the facility are signed in, escorted and wear PPE, are aware of the hygiene policies and do not smoke, eat or drink inside the facility xe2x80xa2 Code of Practice xe2x80x93 staff shall maintain high levels of personal hygiene in accordance with the code of conduct xe2x80xa2 Handwashing Procedure xe2x80x93 Ensuring staff are cleaning and sanitizing hands efficiently before handling the product. xe2x80xa2 Physical Contamination Control Policy and Procedure xe2x80x93 Staff shall be aware of the potential of physical product contamination. Staff is aware of control measures to prevent physical contamination. xe2x80xa2 Safety, Health and Environment Policy xe2x80x93 Staff take reasonable measures to ensure health and safety hazards do not occur. Should an accident occur, staff shall be aware of the procedure of reporting the incident. xe2x80xa2 First Aid Policy xe2x80x93 Staff are aware of the first aider on site. Staff is trained to report injuries and illness to supervisors/first aiders. xe2x80xa2 Conversant with relevant business information, policies, processes and procedures xe2x80xa2 Maintains expected performance standards xe2x80xa2 Enforce compliance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements xe2x80xa2 Enforce GMPxe2x80x99s and conduct themselves in a manner conducive with food safety practices xe2x80xa2 Attend Training and enforce learnings from the training for Quality, Food Safety and Health & Safety that been prescribed for them xe2x80xa2 Be vigilant of food defense and food fraud risks xe2x80xa2 Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the work environment General xe2x80xa2 Responsible to ensure housekeeping is performed and ensure that all products and activities are stored and are executed within the demarcated areas according to the housekeeping policy (green red and yellow areas) xe2x80xa2 Conversant with relevant business information, policies, processes and procedures xe2x80xa2 Maintains expected performance standards xe2x80xa2 While s are written up for the purpose of a basic outline of the work and responsibilities associated with the Job, the Company encourages and expects all employees from time to time, to assist with work that may not be a direct part of their job description

Qualifications and Experience
  • Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4 (Essential)
  • Upto 3 years experience (Operational Execution) Maintenance; FMCG; Bottling Equipment
  • Basic MS Excel; MS Word; E Mail
