Supreme Processing has an opportunity available for a Maintenance Shift Supervisor in the Maintenance department.
The purpose of the position is to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of manufacturing plant. You will lead a team of skilled maintenance technicians and collaborate with various departments to guarantee optimal machinery performance, minimizing downtime, and adhering to strict quality and safety standards
Minimum Requirements
Qualification: Red seal trade (Millwright)
Experience: 3 to 5 years relevant experience after qualification.
HACCP knowledge
3-5 years in a leading role in a food manufacturing plant or related industry.
Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, industrial machinery, and electrical systems.
Self -motivated and ability to work independently.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team effectively.
Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement practical solutions.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.
Computer literate, including proficiency in maintenance management software.
Valid driver's license.
Candidate should be willing to work flexible hours and weekends including standby to attend to call outs where needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and lead the maintenance team in conducting routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on all production machinery and equipment.
Plan and execute maintenance schedules to ensure minimal disruptions to production processes and maximize machinery efficiency.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions promptly.
Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure an adequate supply of spare parts and maintenance materials.
Implement and enforce safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety awareness among the maintenance team and adhering to all safety regulations.
Collaborate with the production and quality control teams to maintain the highest product quality standards and compliance with food safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and work orders.
Develop and conduct training programs to enhance the skills of maintenance personnel and keep them updated with the latest industry practices.
* Continuously evaluate maintenance processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
