Job Summary
Maintenance Foreman - Mechanical (Heavy Industry)
Zululand KZN
Requirements:

National Diploma / N6 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical Fitting and Turning
10+ years' experience as a supervisor/foreman in heavy engineering
Strong background in mechanical equipment maintenance, planning, and budgeting
Advantageous: Experience in the sugar industry, Power Generation, boiler and turbine maintenance
Proven leadership, quality workmanship, and computer literacy (planned maintenance systems)
Commitment to housekeeping and workplace safety

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Maintenance Workshop to ensure plant availability and efficient operation
Oversee mechanical maintenance to standard and within budget
Track and analyze equipment performance, address inefficiencies and recurring faults
Use condition-based monitoring for plant maintenance
Monitor and optimize Bearing Cooling Water (BCW) system
Maintain a safe, compliant workplace for the team
