Job Description

  • Directs and performs skilled mechanical maintenance work, planning and scheduling daily and weekly maintenance activities. Assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring preventive maintenance programs
  • Managing and coordinating maintenance administration and maintenance program.
  • Carrying out daily and random checks regarding stock control. (Parts)
  • Management maintenance of Fleet vehicles.
  • Managing day to day problems with maintenance employees, time sheets are carefully managed.
  • Ensuring all company control procedures are adhered too.
  • Maintaining discipline in the workplace by way of the companys Industrial Relations guidelines.
  • Attending daily meetings with Maintenance Manager to resolve day to day issues regarding maintenance.
  • Conduct daily meetings with maintenance team to resolve day to day issues regarding maintenance.
  • Carrying out the relevant daily, weekly and monthly inspections and control parameters to ensure the quality of the product is maintained at all times.
  • Ensure all document control, daily diaries, and all other site administrative practices are meticulously done including scope changes and all contract variances.
  • Team effort and morale.
  • Root cause analysis must be performed to find out the cause of breakdowns, and a COMPONENT FAILURE
  • REGISTER must be compiled to assist in developing a preventative maintenance plan. .
  • Set up and maintain planning and measurement (Q.C.) systems and monitor compliance.
  • Schedule maintenance on the crushing plant.
  • Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
  • Minimum Grade 12.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • A recognized Supervisory / Leadership Program Certificate or studying towards one.
  • HIRA Certificate.
  • MHSA Certificate.
  • Legal Liability Certificate.
  • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Certificate.
  • ICAM Certificate.
  • HR related experience Leave management; Time and Attendance; IR, etc.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Basic communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to work in a team.
