JD Specialized Recruitment are currently assisting a company in Lusaka, Zambia that provides the corporate market with up market, self-catering short-term accommodation and facilities for Events, to identify an experienced MAINTENANCE & EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER COUPLE. PLEASE NOTE: The nature of the position requires a COUPLE, single applications will not be reviewed. MAINTENANCE MANAGER
- Minimum of 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience at a similar upmarket property
- Trade or related qualification
- Excellent maintenance skills and experience in a hospitality environment, overseeing and manage all aspects of property maintenance.
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge and hands-on experience of systems to be maintained (e.g. Electrical, plumbing, roofing, pool, HVAC, laundry equipment, generators,
- Able to use initiative in high pressure circumstances.
- Physically fit, energetic, proactive
- Stock management and procurement.
- Excellent delegation, time management, organisation and leadership skills
- High level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER
- Relevant Hospitality Degree, diploma
- 5 plus years in a similar role at a property with 80 plus beds.
- Knowledge and experience to implement the necessary policies and procedures required to ensure consistently high standards of hygiene.
- Previous experience with reservations management, staff management, procurement and stock control and procurement.
- Event management experience will be an advantage
- Excellent delegation, time management, and organisation skills
- Strong leader with a passion for staff development and training.
- Must be able to cope under pressure.
- High-energy, and guest centric with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
