Responsibilities

What wexe2x80x99re looking for:

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role is physically located in Epping, in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: * Implement and support best practices in Maintenance systems in conjunction with Central team

• Lead technical investigations and solutions (Breakdowns etc)
• Lead and/or
• Implement and drive capital projects, b,
• Drive line TE / NE performance improvement in line with bakeries Make productivity targets & productivity pipeline
• Co-ordinate EHS, MESS & L2O projects.

The incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert in plant maintenance guiding and supporting maintenance managers in the maintenance of plant and equipment, including shutdowns and projects execution. They will support proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs to the plant and services associated with bakery.

Responsibilities also involve ensuring quality and process improvement, equipment reliability & Performance, improving and maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety standards, company and legal requirements in line with Pepsico EHS, MESS and L2O targets and projects.
Qualifications

What will qualify you for the role

• Relevant Degree or Diploma within Engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain.
• FMCG experience is essential
• Previous bakery experience would be advantageous
• xe2x80x98Hands onxe2x80x99 approach on the factory floor if required.
• Go-To-Person on Productivity Process, and Best Practices around Driving Productivity.
• Computer Literacy and experience in the use of Engineering software tools/ Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (e.g. SAP PM, Pragma, Auto CAD, etc)
• Excellent knowledge of Food Safety and GMP Standards
• Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety Requirements within a factory environment
• Strong local network with food OEM`s and vendor management skills
• Good interpersonal skills to deal with a variety of people from different backgrounds
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with senior management
• Ability to travel nationally to our sites as required.
• Ability to work cross-functionally.
• Strong internal and external communicator, influencer, and negotiator.
• Maintenance Budgeting experience
• Vendor management skills
• Sound understanding and application of preventative maintenance principles/practices
• Management experience in internal / technical / process projects (incl. major shutdowns, breakdowns, machine installations)
