Co-ordinating the daily first-line electrical activities within the department
Management and the allocation and supervision of tasks to all the Electrical Artisans and Control Technicians within the department
To drive a relationship between the maintenance team and the production teams
Maximo assignment and work order management
To lead the team in problem-solving and crisis-related activities such as Electrical fault-finding
Spares management
Manage and instil good SHE values in the team.
The core requirements for the position include:
Minimum requirement is a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (light current /Instrumentation) qualification.
B-tech or a Degree in Engineering will be an advantage.
Must have a wireman's licence.
At least 10 years of experience in a large manufacturing environment, with supervisory experience being an advantage.
Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills
Safety conscious with a good understanding of all SHE principles
A strong understanding of electrical systems with excellent technical skills in control and instrumentation systems
Must have In-depth knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Schneider), DC & AC variable speed drives
Knowledge and understanding of 11kv reticulation
Knowledge of Fieldbus communication system and GE Automation System will be advantageous
Extensive knowledge of different switch gears
Extensive knowledge of Maximo and work management systems
Excellent planning capabilities
The ability to read and interpret drawings
Understanding of the interface between Electrical, CIE and Mechanical teams
A strong drive for consistent teamwork
Availability to work shifts and standby.
