Machine Technician / Cnc Programmer
Job Description
We are a leading national manufacturing company specializing in custom kitchens, headquartered in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and technically-minded CNC Programmer / Machine Technician graduate with mechanical knowledge and at least 4 years of experience.
As a CNC Programmer / Machine Technician, you will ensure that all machines operate efficiently to meet our customers' needs and expectations. Your responsibilities will include:
Installing and commissioning machines in accordance with design specifications.
Performing machine diagnostics.
Conducting servicing and maintenance of machines.
Providing conceptual and strategic solutions to solve problems.
Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential machine issues.
Experience & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Semi-Skilled Fitter in a manufacturing environment. Technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering, industrial technology, or a related field is preferred. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints. Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Fluent in English. Willingness to travel across the South African continent for work purposes. Valid South African driver's license. Flexibility to work odd hours to attend to machine breakdowns.
