Supreme Processing has an opportunity available for a Preparation Operator in our FP2 Processing Plant department. The successful candidate will be required to support production by operating machines to produce quality products as per specifications.

Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
Machine operating certificate
Proven experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment
Excellent communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Self-motivated and ability to work independently. Competent on job specific in-house job skills.
Detail and accuracy orientated.
Willing to work overtime

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for equipment operations of mixers and grinders.
Responsible for injector and tumbling
Responsible for record keeping of all ingredients placed in a meat block and weigh thereof as per procedure, work instruction and client specification.
Ensuring correct recipes are followed in correlation with what is produced on the line.
Conduct equipment efficiency checks.
Responsible for monitoring of mixing, tumbling, injector and grinding machines as required.
Ensuring FIFO procedure is followed.
Ensuring that the machine is properly clean and is on good working condition.
Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
Ensuring properly assembling and disable of all machines.
Ensuring all knifes and plates are regularly rotated and sharpen.
Ensuring all mixed product is labelled (Dates and Kg).
Ensuring that all safeties on the machine are working and in good condition.
Ensuring that all machine components are stored correctly and in a safe place.
Ensuring that meat buggies are cleaned and rotated regularly.
Ensuring that meat received is of good quality and good appearance.
Ensuring that all products are weighed according to recipes.
Ensuring that when frozen fat, skin or trimmings are opened, that no plastic stays behind on the product before it is put in the grinders.
Ensuring that the correct opening procedure is followed for all bags (Ingredients)
in the plant to prevent foreign objects. Ensure continuous supply to the processing line for continuous production by ensuring enough raw product have been received from Dispatch and are stored correctly in the holding freezer and continuous mixing occurs to ensure line do not wait on production.
Carry out instructions given by Management regarding quality and hygiene.
Maintain the Quality Control Program.
Maintain a high level of hygiene throughout the processing plant.
* Continuous communication with HOD and Shift Managers regarding products and line speed
