Plan, develop and execute events in line with the brand strategy for L'Oreal Paris.
Implement the communication and public relations strategy for the brand, by working with media and public relations partners.
Active role in division specific events, including Social Committee responsibilities on behalf of the division.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
End to end management of events, not limited to but including new product launches, influencer events, launches to retailers and customers, internal launches, press launches, brand social events with consumers and influencers.
Work closely with the marketing teams to ensure full brand alignment on events for Loreal Paris as well as any additional collaboration opportunities across CPD brands where applicable .
Produce and execute inspiring events in line with Global standards.
Develop and communicate a full calendar of media relations activity for pre-defined events.
Manage an events budget and provide full financial reconciliation post event.
Oversee vendors and suppliers at build up, on the day of, and on breakdown of event.
Manage administrative matters such as loading vendors, securing purchase orders, expediting payments and obtaining necessary permits.
Manage event logistics including location scouting and venue hire, catering requirements, guest lists, technical requirements, stage design, decor and programme planning.
Engage with brand ambassadors, celebrities and esteemed guests of the brand.
Create activation touch points and innovative gifting for all events.
Foster the Corporate Identity of the brand through managing the design, look, feel and theme of the event.
Engage with and grow network of media and public relations stakeholders to build brand equity.
TECHNICAL, PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Proven Project Management experience
Knowledge of the CPD brands
Good rapport with existing agencies and internal stakeholders
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
Learns and adapts quickly
Able to multitask in a high pressured and fast paced environment
A creative eye for detail
Aware of trend setting curves in order to showcase newness in design at events.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
BA Communications Science or similar
Current or former L'OREAL employee with deep understanding of CPD business, processes and good working relationship with both internal and external key stakeholders relating to L'Oreal South Africa.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience
