Job Summary:



The Inventory and Master Data Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory and master data within the distribution centre. This position oversees a team responsible for managing all aspects of inventory control, data entry, data maintenance, and reporting, contributing significantly to the efficient operation of the distribution centre and the overall supply chain. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and leadership skills.



Key Responsibilities:



Inventory Control:



Supervise daily cycle counting and reconciliation activities. Stock synch and idoc monitoring between Manhattan and SAP Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand while minimizing holding costs. Manage the physical inventory process, including preparation, execution, and reporting. Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.

Master Data Management:



Oversee the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of all master data, including product information, customer data, and vendor data. Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures. Ensure data integrity by implementing validation rules and regular audits. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency across all systems. Manage the data entry team and ensure data quality standards are met.

Reporting and Analysis:



Generate regular reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making related to inventory management and supply chain optimization. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of inventory and master data specialists. Provide training and coaching to team members on inventory control procedures, data management best practices, and company systems. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

Continuous Improvement:



Identify opportunities to improve inventory control processes and master data management practices. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. Stay up to date on industry best practices and new technologies in inventory management and master data management. Be proficient in root cause analysis techniques Act as the Manhattan Key User for Receiving and Transversal topics

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory control and/or master data management, preferably in a distribution centre environment. Experience with Manhattan warehouse management system a plus Proven experience in leading and managing a team. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
