Job Description

My client, a well-established food manufacturer based in Stikland, is seeking to employ a Junior Logistics Planner who will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the movement of goods, products, and supplies from origin to destination.
This role involves analyzing data, forecasting demand, and developing logistics plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products
Key Responsibilities:

• Logistics Planning: Develop and implement logistics plans to meet customer demands, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management
• Demand Forecasting: Analyse data and forecast demand to ensure adequate logistics capacity and resources
• Route Optimization: Optimize routes and transportation modes to reduce costs, transit times, and environmental impact
• Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, track stock movements, and ensure accurate inventory reporting
• Supply Chain Visibility: Provide real-time visibility into logistics operations, including shipment tracking and status updates
• Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, and customer service, to ensure alignment and effective logistics support
• Data Analysis: Analyse logistics data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas for cost reduction
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction

Requirements Include:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Certifications: Certification in logistics or supply chain management, such as Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), is a plus
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in logistics planning, transportation management, or a related field.
• Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of logistics software and systems, such as transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Performance Metrics:

• On-Time Delivery Rate: Meet or exceed on-time delivery targets
• Transportation Cost Reduction: Reduce transportation costs through route optimization and other initiatives
• Inventory Accuracy: Maintain accurate inventory levels and reporting
• Customer Satisfaction: Meet or exceed customer satisfaction targets

Working Hours: 10h00 - 19h00
