Job Description


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Officer to join our logistics team. The Logistics Officer will play a critical role in coordinating and optimizing the transportation and distribution of goods, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness throughout the supply chain.   • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the transportation and distribution process, including scheduling, routing, and tracking shipments
  • Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any logistical issues or delays
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse staff to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize stockouts or overages
  • Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures related to transportation, import/export, and customs clearance
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including shipping records, bills of lading, and customs documents
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with transportation providers and other logistics service providers to secure favorable terms and pricing
  • Provide timely and accurate reports and updates to management on logistics activities, performance, and key metrics
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, including transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation preferred
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CLTD, CSCP) is a plus
