Our client has an opportunity available for a Logistics Coordinator/Manager based in Silverton.
Requirements:
Post Graduate Diploma in Logistics Management.
Previous work experience in the Logistics Industry.
Automobile Industries
Proficiency in Microsoft Office- particularly MS Excel.
Fluency in English and any other languages are an asset such as Afrikaans and Spanish.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the logistics operations
Receive customer demand and verify accuracy.
Support purchasing to plan raw material requirements based on demand and in line with production requirements - avoiding excess stock / MUDA.
Support the full supply chain of import/export as required.
Ensure on time in full deliveries of raw materials by working in close collaboration with Purchasing.
Support the project team in planning of RM requirements as well as stock builds run in/run out programmes specific to new project launches / run outs of existing projects or running engineering changes.
Ensure incoming raw material quality procedures are followed as per internal procedure.
Ensure maintenance of required finished good stock levels in line with business objectives.
Ensure on time in full deliveries to customers.
Manage and lead Production planning and Data control
Re-engineering / Optimization in order to improve the process & make it efficient
To ensure real time tracking of data and visualization, escalation as necessary
To manage 5S and ensure Safety
To ensure real time invoicing and record keeping
To study & introduce continual cost optimization initiatives.
To ensure training and development of team members.
