Job Summary

Our client has an opportunity available for a Logistics Coordinator/Manager based in Silverton.

Requirements:

• Post Graduate Diploma in Logistics Management.
• Previous work experience in the Logistics Industry.
• Automobile Industries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office- particularly MS Excel.
• Fluency in English and any other languages are an asset such as Afrikaans and Spanish.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the logistics operations
• Receive customer demand and verify accuracy.
• Support purchasing to plan raw material requirements based on demand and in line with production requirements - avoiding excess stock / MUDA.
• Support the full supply chain of import/export as required.
• Ensure on time in full deliveries of raw materials by working in close collaboration with Purchasing.
• Support the project team in planning of RM requirements as well as stock builds run in/run out programmes specific to new project launches / run outs of existing projects or running engineering changes.
• Ensure incoming raw material quality procedures are followed as per internal procedure.
• Ensure maintenance of required finished good stock levels in line with business objectives.
• Ensure on time in full deliveries to customers.
• Manage and lead Production planning and Data control
• Re-engineering / Optimization in order to improve the process & make it efficient
• To ensure real time tracking of data and visualization, escalation as necessary
• To manage 5S and ensure Safety
• To ensure real time invoicing and record keeping
• To study & introduce continual cost optimization initiatives.
• To ensure training and development of team members.
