Purpose of this role:
Overseeing the movement of goods, equipment and materials across land , sea, and air.
The role is 90% logistics and 10% procurement with a strong focus on freight forwarding , compliance and operational visibly across Africa.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management , logistics , international business, or related field.
• Master's degree will be an advantage.

Experience:

• 7 to10 years of experience in international logistics and supply chain management ,with significant exposure to African markets.
• Experience &knowledge of freight forwarding Incoterms, customs procedures, and logistics contracts.
• Experience in implementing logistics management systems and ensuring visibility across multiple units & countries.
• Understanding land freight across African corridors , as well as air and sea freight coordination's.
• Exceptional organizational , negotiation and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in challenging circumstances.

Responsibilities:

• Managing International logistics across road, maritime and airfreight.
• Building strong partners hips with freight forwarders, airlines and transport providers.
• Ensuring compliance with customs, Incoterms, trade and legal requirements.
• Overseeing Shipments from booking to final delivery
• Implementing systems, for real-time tracking and standardised workflows.
• Aligning inventory stock records, across warehouses and business units.
• Mitigating risks linked to customs , security and infrastructure challenges.
• Monitoring KPIs , reporting to senior management and drive cost efficiency.
