We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistic Manager to support our logistics operations . In this role, you will play a critical part in overseeing daily logistic activities and ensuring the efficient flow of goods and services. You will collaborate closely with the other departments to implement operational strategies that meet our service delivery goals.
Responsibilities
General and Task Management
Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers
Select carriers/suppliers and monitor service against performance criteria
Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery
Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports orexports or customer issues
Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes,product volumes or carriers and report results to others
Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potentialnew facilities or plants and advise of cost implications and efficiency
Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies andcost optimisation opportunities
Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy and manage stock movementswith the help of direct reports
Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory andsystem records are in agreement
Keep track of slow moving and obsolete stock
Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process
Ensure IT systems in place are effective, maintained and accurate
Ensure metrics, reports, and process documentation is available
Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organisation to improve operational and financial performance Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements
? Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs
? Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers
Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
5+ years of experience in logistics management
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in using logistic software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
Experience in the transportation and logistics industry
Familiarity with GPS tracking and route optimization tools
Leadership experience in managing teams or projects
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
Proficient in management software and tools
Basic understanding of fleet management systems
Strong data analysis skills to interpret performance reports
