We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
Logistics / Dispatch Officer
to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in managing and coordinating daily transportation operations.Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate daily dispatch operations. Schedule, monitor, and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery. Liaise with drivers, suppliers, and customers to provide accurate shipping updates and resolve issues. Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and dispatch activities. Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure smooth loading/unloading of goods. Resolve discrepancies or challenges related to shipments promptly. Generate reports and analyze logistics data to improve processes. Supervise and manage the weekly loading of trucks for
Cape Town, Durban, and Johannesburg
routes.Qualifications & Skills
Matric (Grade 12) required; a qualification in
Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
is advantageous. Proven experience in logistics, dispatch, or a similar role. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics/dispatch software. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R5000,00 - R6000,00 per month
Experience:
dispatch: 2 years (Required) logistics/reatail: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
Driver's license (Required)
Work Location: In person
