Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily truck operations. Assign routes, loads, and drivers based on operational requirements. Monitor truck movements and provide real-time updates to clients and management. Ensure compliance with road transport regulations and company policies. Track vehicle maintenance schedules and liaise with the workshop team for servicing and repairs. Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, and delivery notes. Resolve transport-related issues, delays, or breakdowns promptly. Support drivers with documentation, compliance checks, and trip planning. Liaise with clients to ensure delivery timelines and customer satisfaction are met. Prepare daily/weekly logistics reports for management.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric) - logistics or supply chain qualification is an advantage. Minimum 3-4 years' experience in transport/logistics coordination (preferably trucking). Strong knowledge of truck fleet operations, routes, and compliance requirements. Excellent planning, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office and fleet management/logistics software. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.
