Job Description

A global pharmaceutical company has a vacancy for a Logistics Controller.
Job Purpose:

• End to end Logistics Management (South Africa).
• To ensure that all goods and products are brought into the country in an efficient and cost-effective manner and to ensure that product is made available for the market timeously.

Main Duties and Responsibilities are:

• Ensure timely customs clearance of goods.
• Receiving and costing of products
• Processing of logistics and stock related invoices for payment, and journals for balancing and reconciliation of stock on Navision.
• Handles queries related to imports (internally / externally)
• Updating of the shipping register
• Updating of FX costing sensitivity analysis
• Inventory oversight at distributor level and related activities, i.e stock receipt,
• movement, destruction, counts, reconciliations, returns, etc.
• Oversight of all related logistics activities for ZA
• Facilitate the imports and customs clearing process
• Management of the freight forwarder
• Ad-hoc activities as may be assigned by authorized managers and supervisors
• Support global logistics projects.
• Ensure that the relevant training has been completed according to the training plan.
• Forwarding of all received Product Quality Complaints, Adverse Events and Medical Enquiries to the relevant person in Quality Assurance/ Pharmacovigilance/ Medical Affairs.

Qualifying Requirements are:

• Related bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 5 years warehouse, distribution experience within a pharmaceutical environment
• Effective Verbal and Written Communication
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Advanced Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Computer Literacy - MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Embodies Values & Behaviours in all internal and external interactions.
