Logistics Admin Support - Howick
Our client is seeking a meticulous Logistics Admin Support to join their team in Howick.
Responsibilities:
Dispatch Responsibilities

• Print pick tickets, pick orders, and assist with invoicing and booking transporters
• Plan trip sheets and ensure that all filing (Proof of Deliveries and records) is accurate and up to date
• Ensure that stock is palletised and labelled correctly to avoid damage
• Confirm that all orders undergo quality checks before dispatch
• Provide support for stock control and replenishments as needed

Fleet Maintenance

• Assist in ensuring the fleet is maintained and kept roadworthy
• Route planning for internal deliveries
• Ensure the trip schedule is updated daily
• Make sure to complete the documentation while filling out the vehicle checklist
• Tracking of vehicles
• Ensure drivers have a valid licence

Internal Support

• Provide transport support to the procurement department and other departments as needed
• Assist the finance team with stock-related inquiries and the sales team with delivery orders
• Maintain effective communication and foster strong interpersonal relationship

Requirements:

• Matric with Mathematics and English
• Any degree/diploma that can reflect studies supporting administration
• An understanding of the logistics environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• 1-3 Years of experience with MS (Excel, Word and Outlook)
• 1-3 Years of experience and a good understanding of the logistics environment
• A valid unendorsed code 8 driver's license, and own transport will be advantageous
• Demonstrated strong administration skills
• Warehouse working awareness, understanding the process and identifying/targeting opportunities would be advantageous
• Customer service experience
