Our client, a luxury self-catering safari lodge in KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking a Lodge Maintenance & Operations Supervisor. This is a hands-on role for a practical individual with strong maintenance, building, and operational skills in a remote bush environment.
Description
The Lodge Maintenance & Operations Supervisor is responsible for the upkeep of guest areas, staff accommodation, lodge buildings, roads, fences, utilities, and vehicles. Duties include general repairs, basic construction, renovations, water systems, generators, solar systems, and minor electrical/plumbing work.
The role also involves supervising contractors, managing maintenance stock, ensuring health and safety standards, and liaising with lodge management. Candidates should be self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently.
Package:
- Salary: R12,000 - R13,000 per month (experience dependent)
- Live-in accommodation and uniforms included
- 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation
- Permanent | Start ASAP
- Experience in lodge, farm, or maintenance supervision
- Strong hands-on skills: electrical, plumbing, carpentry
- Building and renovation experience
- Ability to operate vehicles and machinery
- Valid driver's licence (Code 10/14 advantageous)
- Problem-solving skills and self-motivation
- Safari lodge or game reserve experience advantageous
