Our client, a leader in the private healthcare industry, is urgently looking for Emergency Centre Doctors to work locum shifts at a private hospital in Worcester in Western Cape.

Requirements

• Current registration with HPCSA as a medical practitioner in independent practice

• MBBCh/MBChB qualification

• Completed a two-year internship and community service officer year

• At least 6 months clinical experience in an Emergency Centre

• At least two valid xe2x80x9cFirst Tierxe2x80x9d course (ATLS, ACLS, PALS/APLS) with the agreement that a third will be completed within 6 months of registration with MHR

• The following courses serve as a strong recommendation: Advanced Airway Management / Basic Ultrasound / Emergency Procedures and Sedation

• Valid indemnity insurance

• Knowledge of the statutory requirements and regulations around practice in an emergency centre is required, such as the Child Health Care Act and the Mental Health Care Act

• The ability to delegate and perform tasks according to scope of practice

Key Outputs

• Provides quality and safe clinical care in the emergency centre

• Adheres to and supports the nursing staff in the application of triage in the emergency centre

• Follows a process of consultation, investigation, referral and treatment

• Adheres to Emergency Centre policies and procedures

• Adheres to Health and Safety Act requirements

• Record keeping complies with company policies and procedures

• Maintains a safe working environment according to health and safety standards
