Job Summary Responsibilities: Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate the local market and achieve revenue objectives. Identify potential clients and create a targeted approach for each segment (restaurants, guest houses, catering companies, and local retail). Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and actively seek out potential customers within the local market. Generate leads assess competitor activities to stay ahead of industry trends. Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients in the food service and retail sectors. Understand their needs and challenges, ensuring exceptional customer service and client satisfaction. New Client Acquisition: Prospect and onboard new clients to expand the customer base. Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of our food solutions. Sales Targets and Performance: Set sales targets for the team and monitor individual and team performance closely. Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve their goals. Pricing and Contract Negotiations: Develop competitive pricing strategies based on market trends and cost analysis. Negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms. Training and Product Knowledge: Provide training and product knowledge sessions to clients and the sales team, enabling them to effectively promote and sell food solutions. Sales Reporting and needs analysis: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline opportunities. Analyse sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards throughout the sales process. Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions. Team Management: Manage a team of sales reps to ensure that the market is effectively and efficiently covered. Required experience and qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Proven experience (3+ years) in sales within the food solutions industry or related sectors (e.g., food service, hospitality, retail). Strong understanding of the local restaurant, guest house, catering, and retail markets in the Maldives would be a bonus. Ideally experience living and working outside India or Sri Lanka. Required skills Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Results-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing leadership and guidance while managing a sales team. Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus such as Dhivehi Familiarity with food products and the food service industry is advantageous. Able to work with multiple different cultures. An understanding of the Islamic culture would be preferred.
