Litigation Paralegal

Job Description
Our client, a long-established and successful national legal firm is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to execute a variety of Litigation Paralegal duties of a confidential nature.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric.
- Diploma or Degree in Law/Legal equivalent qualification.
- Min 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience working in a similar role.
- In depth knowledge of foreclosures and bank processes is essential.
- Knowledge of FICA.
- Ability to deal with several matters at once.
- Good command of the English language.
- Ability to work independently and to use initiative.
- Meticulous and ability to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise duties and handle pressure while keeping calm.
- Computer Literate (MS Office Suite) especially Excel.
- Own transport is essential.
- Receive new instructions from clients and attend to foreclosures.
- Prepare and draft Section 129 Letters of Demand, Summons, Rule 46A applications, Rule 46A 9(d), Writ, Sale in Executions, advertising, and Settlement Agreements.
- Contact and liaise with clients, banks, and attorneys.
- Prepare invoices and attend to the collection of costs from clients.
- Provide administrative support to professional staff and partners.
- File, index and paginate, and brief counsel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to anticipate and plan.
- Customer focussed.
- Speedy and accurate.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Well organised.
- Take initiative in this challenging and rewarding role.
