Job Description

KEY RESPONBIBILITIES:

  • Document Preparation:
  • Drafting & formatting legal documents (pleadings, affidavits, briefs, memoranda & discovery requests)
  • Proofreading documents for accuracy & compliance with legal formatting standards
  • Compiling & organizing legal documents with case files.
  • Case Management:
  • Opening new case files, recording relevant information & updating case management systems
  • Tracking deadlines, court dates & important milestones in litigation cases
  • Maintaining detailed case files with proper organization and indexing
  • Scheduling and Communication, Administrative Tasks:
  • Scheduling court appearances, depositions, client meetings & conferences
  • Communicating with clients to provide updates on case progress & gather necessary information.
  • Contacting opposing counsel & other parties to coordinate legal matters
MINIMUM CRITERIA:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • Applicant must be presentable
  • Applicant must be well spoken and fluent in English & Afrikaans
  • Proficient typing and computer skills (Microsoft office)
  • Extremely punctual
  • Eye for detail
  • Good communication skills
  • SPELLING & typing of utmost importance
  • Strong admin and organizational skills
  • Valid Driver's License / Own Transport
