Job Description

LINEHAUL CONTROLLER
JOHANNESBURG
To effectively manage and control the movement of cargo from the designated origin to the prescribed destination.
Key Job Functions:

Manage operational files in line with process flows.
Maintain effective communication with clients and suppliers throughout shipments.
Source suitable vehicles based on customer requirements.
Track trucks en route; escalate overdue deliveries to management.
Support clients with operational and documentation requirements.
Monitor orders until goods are stacked or delivered, providing regular updates.
Issue transport bookings with full shipment and rate details, including any special instructions.
Arrange hazardous cargo documentation (MSDS, trem cards, declarations, placards, etc.).
Ensure deliveries meet client clearing instructions and timelines.
Ensure timely and accurate transport execution and delivery.
Handle invoicing and process supplier invoices.
Generate status reports and keep systems updated in real-time.
Collect PODs and acquittals within required KPIs.
