Working hours:

Mon and Wed 11:00 - 18:00, Tues and Fri 06:30 - 17:00 and Thurs 12:00 - 18:00. 40 hours per week. The candidate needs to be flexible for any changes that may happen. The family may also require the candidate to work additional hours (paid overtime) or sleep over if the parents are traveling for work.

School holiday hours:

6 year old twin boys in Grade 1. It is important to take note and embrace that both boys are very different.

Duties:

Take to school in the mornings, collect from school, take to extra mural activities, assist with homework, projects etc, ensure bags are packed for the following day, prepare lunch and dinner for the children. Ensure there are supplies for lunch boxes. Pack lunch boxes. Ensuring all things related to the children are managed in terms of clothing, have they outgrown some items, do they need more of another item etc. Keeping track of toys, ensuring their play areas are kept neat and tidy. Engage in fun, stimulating activities, such as baking, arts and crafts, outside play, taking on outings, arranging holiday activities. Manage the credit card that is provided for childcare related expenses. Packing bags for travel. Traveling with the family both locally and internationally. Adhoc babysitting and sleeping over when needed.

Requirements:

This families consists of 2 dads and the twins, they are looking for a mature candidate aged between 22 - 32 years old who has a good driving history. Someone who is looking to become part of the family and has a real passion for childcare and au pairing. Childcare courses and qualifications are beneficial. Experience with the age group and someone who takes feedback well. Someone with a strong personality who can manage a busy schedule and is organised and a good communicator. First aid certification or willing to get one. At least 3 years' experience within the field. MUST have au pairing experience.

Beneficial to have:

Experience with multiples, ADHD experience, ECD/Foundation phase experience.

Start date:

Beginning or Mid-September Start date - Permanent Contract

Salary:

R20 000 - R22 000 per month (gross, before deductions) plus SARS Rates (R4.76) per km. Negotiable for the right candidate.



All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.

Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.

Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.

Must have a clear criminal record

Must have a passion for children

Must have Matric

Must have a South African ID document.
