Job Description
Co-ordinates requirements and executes responsibilities associated with the monitoring and supporting formal and informal businesses within eThekwini Municipal area.This post reports to CHIEF LICENCE INSPECTORKey Responsibility Areas
- Conducts field inspections and investigations of licensable businesses.
- Provides support to new and non-compliant licensable businesses.
- Enforces licensing legislation and municipal bylaws.
- Co-ordinates the liquor application and inspection processes.
- Co-ordinates and lead Multi-Disciplinary task team operations.
- Attends to court and licensing tribunals.
- Executes requirements associated with the maintenance of relationships betweenstakeholders, internal and external departments and formal businesses.

- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent and a Law Enforcement certificate.
- Peace Officer certificate to be obtained within 6 months of the assumption of duty.
- Valid motor vehicle driving license.
- 3 Years relevant experience.
- Diploma (NQF Level 6) or equivalent in Law Enforcement.
- 4 Years relevant experience.
- The incumbent will be regularly required to work outside of normal office hours.
- The incumbent will at times be required to work time.
- The incumbent will be required to work within the entire eThekwini area.
