Job Summary
A prominent IT support and services company offering fully managed IT support, network infrastructure, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity services to various industries is seeking a Level 3 Engineer who will be responsible for managing complex hybrid cloud environments, hardening network security, and leveraging AI-driven tools to ensure high-performance infrastructure and compliance for a diverse client base.
Responsibilities:
Advanced Infrastructure & Cloud: Design, optimize, and manage hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, VMware) and intelligent networking systems.
Cybersecurity & Threat Intelligence: Lead threat detection, incident response, and the integration of AI-based security tools (SIEM, endpoint protection).
Compliance & Risk: Implement and audit controls for GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks.
L3 Technical Support: Resolve high-level escalations regarding routing/switching (BGP, OSPF), firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto), and VPNs.
Automation & Optimization: Deploy Zero Trust and SD-WAN architectures; automate repetitive tasks via Python, Bash, or Ansible.
Strategic Leadership: Mentor Tier 1/2 staff, manage vendor relationships, and lead large-scale IT transformations.
Minimum Requirements:
Networking: Expert-level routing, switching, and SD-WAN.
Security: Strong hands-on with IDS/IPS, SIEM (Splunk), and vulnerability assessments.
Cloud/AI: Proficiency in cloud platforms and exposure to ML frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch) for predictive analytics.
Documentation: Maintain rigorous runbooks, incident reports, and ISO 27001-compliant network diagrams.
Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: 7+ years in network/security roles, with at least 5 years in L3 support.
Core Certifications: CCNA/CCNP and CompTIA Security+.
Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCIE, or CEH.
Availability: Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical outages.
